Doctor Boo was a biochemist and botanist that wanted to solve the world hunger problem by modifying human DNA to receive nutrient energy directly from the sun.
He received a grant from Smiley Pharmaceuticals to finance his world hunger project.
Doctor Boo’s first test subject was a gerbil named Squeaks. After the injection of his experimental formula and direct contact with sunlight, Squeaks developed super intelligence, the ability to speak, read, write, and could partially receive nutrient energy directly from the sun.
However, when Dr. Boo tried the same formula and sunlight intensity on other test animals they all immediately exploded. He tried to modify his formula multiple times, but all his test animals burst into flames. Feeling guilty about killing innocent lab animals, he stopped his research and gave the rights to his world hunger formula to Smiley Pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Boo wanted to keep Speaks the gerbil, but Smiley Pharmaceuticals considered him their property and threatened to sue him. Dr. Boo did not want to be sued and left Squeaks in the custody of Smiley Pharmaceuticals.
Three days after Dr. Boo left Smiley Pharmaceuticals, he supposedly was killed in a bicycle accident, but his body was never found.
